Now You See Me: Now You Don't

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is a slick, high-stakes heist thriller packed with illusions, charisma, and dazzling showmanship. As the third instalment of this magic-meets-crime franchise, it once again delivers blending cerebral scheming with heart-pounding spectacle.

Years after the Four Horsemen’s last grand heist, J. Daniel Atlas (Jesse Eisenberg) reunites the original team, including Merritt McKinney (Woody Harrelson) and Jack Wilder (Dave Franco), and recruits a bold new trio of illusionists: Charlie (Justice Smith), Bosco (Dominic Sessa), and June (Ariana Greenblatt). Together, they plot to steal the fabled “Heart Diamond” from the formidable villain Veronika Vanderberg (Rosamund Pike). The film’s stylish direction by Ruben Fleischer features sleek cinematography, clever editing, and elegant magical set-pieces, while its core themes touch on legacy, mentorship, deception, and reinvention.

The outstanding cast once again deliver and Jesse Eisenberg, celebrated for The Social Network, leads with swagger and cunning. Woody Harrelson, known from No Country for Old Men, brings his trademark unpredictability. Their chemistry, combined with the fresh talents, helps the film feel both nostalgic and new. Critics have nodded to its energetic pacing and the way it reinvigorates the franchise, calling it a crowd-pleasing return with clever twists. A cracking way to spend a few hours hiding away from a cold winters day!
