Hal Cruttenden

plus David Whitney, Dana Alexander
and Jack Campbell

Hal Cruttenden is one of the top stand up comedians working in the UK today, as well as being a highly accomplished writer and actor.

He has made several appearances on ‘Live at the Apollo’ (BBC1 and 2), ‘Have I Got News For You’ (BBC1) and ‘The Royal Variety Performance’ (ITV) as well as his regular appearances on shows such as ‘Mock the Week’ (BBC2), ‘The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice’ (BBC2 and Channel 4) and ‘The Apprentice: You’re Fired’ (BBC2). On the radio, the second series of his sitcom ‘Hal’ (co-written with Dominic Holland) was recently broadcast on BBC Radio 4 and he has released two comedy DVDs, ‘Tough Luvvie’ (Universal) and ‘Straight Outta Cruttenden’ (Amazon Prime and NextUpComedy.com).
He has toured the country extensively and, in the last two years, has also taken shows to the Melbourne Comedy Festival and the New Zealand Comedy Festival.

Also tonight we have on stage:

Jack Campbell
Jack Campbell is a stand-up comedian. Originating from rural Cambridgeshire, Jack now lives in Leicester and gigs all over the country.
Winner of English Comedian of the Year 2014, Jack has even performed in Australia, Germany, Finland, Latvia and Estonia.
Jack has always loved stand-up comedy and began performing whilst at De Montfort University, Leicester in 2009. With a string of competition wins to his name, he has been described as "100% funny" and "refreshingly inventive", and was once even told to be careful.

David Whitney
David’s material is a fine blend of political satire and pure filth, making him the thinking person’s comic. So long as that person is thinking of something satirically filthy at the time.

"Elegant, and carries disguised spin....Huge laughs.... A Silver-tongued warrior" - Chortle

"He’s got a well-defined sense of comedy which guarantees laughs. Genuine spirit of fun." - The Spectator

Dana Alexander
Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Dana Alexander started stand-up when she was 18, going on to establish herself as a regular at such clubs as the Yuk Yuk’s chain. Billed as the only black female comic on the Canadian comedy circuit, she voted a 'best discovery' by Now Magazine in 2006. She moved to the UK in 2011, making her Edinburgh Fringe debut that same year. Has performed on Russel Howard's Good News Show on TV...Dana continues to draw  her material from her diverse lifestyle, from her gay friends to her crazy Jamaican family. She brings a refreshing change to the comedy scene while her own home sensibilities endear her to a wide variety of audiences.  She is a comic you definitely do not want to miss.

“fierce and in your face” and “almost revolutionary”
